New Cross Live presents
Formed as a meeting of minds between award-winning composer/vocalist LEF, King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto, Marta Sui Tubi’s Carmelo Pipitone on guitar and bassist Colin Edwin, formerly of Porcupine Tree, O.R.k. set out their stall with their forceful and enticing debut album Inflamed Rides in 2015.
O.R.k. have cemented their reputation with further full-length album releases, 2017’s Soul of an Octopus, 2019’s Ramagehead, 2022’s Screamnasium and their fifth album, Firehose of Falsehoods was released in April 2025.
O.R.k have long attracted the interest and support of fellow creative artists and musicians. Previous guests and collaborators have included multiplatinum vocal phenomenon Elisa, virtuoso cellist Jo Quail and System of a Down’s Serj Tankian. The creative duo of Grammy winning art director Adam Jones (of Tool) and Marvel/DC Comics illustrator Denis Rodier have also been involved in artwork and their albums remarkable visual imagery, while mixing and mastering duties have been undertaken by both Machine (Lamb of God, Clutch) and three-time Grammy winner Marc Urselli.
O.R.k. have also built up a considerable live following with dates and festivals across Europe and South America over the years.
