SUIR hail from Cologne, Germany and create music that offers a glimpse into the abysses of one‘s own being as well as into the depths of the world - but make it cool and in nice shoes.
The band´s sound is as versatile as their thoughts: sometimes it drives forward as shoegazy post-punk, sometimes it glides into more ambient, synth-influenced and cinematic excursions. The band plays with a dense wall of sound created by guitars, saturated reverb and delay effects to create these dreamlike soundscapes. Always accompanied by driving drum beats and a striking psych bass sound that gives the guitars a powerful base.
The magic of SUIR unfolds particularly well on stage: whether as a duo or a trio, their live shows are like entering a hypnotic dream world. The air literally vibrates with the energy that runs through the dense soundscapes and draws the audience into a maelstrom of sound and emotion.
Following the release of their critically acclaimed album NOT ALL OF YOUR PAIN IS SELF CHOSEN on the legendary German label This Charming Man Records, SUIR are already working on their next project—and this spring, they’re bringing their explosive sound to stages across your country. Post punk psych noise from South London. Colour Me Blood Red are a b-movie slasher soundtrack with teeth. They conjure psychish krautrock and industrial grooves, mixing in a healthy dose of glam-surf charm. Expect gloriously reverb-drenched noise walls and gutsy fuzz.
