Rockin' Roots Events is thrilled to bring two of Canada's finest blues-rock acts to Kent for a night of pure roots and roll.
Hailing from Toronto, The Commoners are a five-piece powerhouse with a sound drawn from the deep well of Southern rock — high-energy riffs, soulful lead vocals, and rich multi-part harmonies that sweep you straight to the heartland. Think the swagger of The Black Crowes, the riff-driven muscle of Free and Led Zeppelin, and the warm-blooded soul of Blackberry Smoke, delivered with the raw energy of a band who've earned every note on the road.
Their acclaimed debut album Find A Better Way (2022) turned heads across the UK rock press, landing airplay and glowing reviews in Blues in Britain, Powerplay, and R'N'R Magazine. Their 2024 follow-up Restless confirmed them as a serious force in modern roots rock, while support tours with Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton, headline slots at Call of the Wild and Steelhouse Rock festivals, and a storming live album recorded on UK soil have only added to the legend.
Support comes from fellow Canadian Spencer Mackenzie — a JUNO-nominated, Maple Blues Award-winning blues-rock guitarist whose raspy vocals, fluid phrasing, and electrifying left-handed fretwork have made him one of the most talked-about names on the international blues circuit. His latest album Empty Chairs has drawn rave notices from Blues Rock Review (US) and Blues Matters (UK), and he has shared stages at major festivals worldwide alongside the likes of Walter Trout, Fantastic Negrito, and Samantha Fish. A superb double-bill of transatlantic blues-rock firepower.
This is a show that Saturday nights were made for. Don't miss your chance to catch both acts in this intimate venue
