The Magic Numbers have announced two special shows at Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd December 2026, as part of their 2026 UK tour.
The show will see the band perform fan favourites from across their five studio albums, with audiences treated to their unique harmonies, melodic hooks, songwriting craftsmanship and timeless sound.
Formed in London in 2002, The Magic Numbers are a uniquely set up band of two sets of brother and sister – Romeo and Michele Stodart and Angela and Sean Gannon.
They started playing shows through London honing their sound and along the way picking up a who’s who of fans including the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Travis, Ed Harcourt and Noel Gallagher.
Their self-titled debut album The Magic Numbers was an immediate success, earning widespread praise for its blend of indie pop and folk. Featuring Top 20 hit singles ‘Forever Lost’ and ‘Love Me Like You’, the album earned the band a Mercury Prize nomination, drawing critical acclaim as well as commercial chart success as it entered the UK Album Chart at No.7 and went on to achieve 2x platinum status.
The band have also become known for their collaborations with a diverse range of artists over the years, with Romeo Stodart writing and producing songs for the late Jane Birkin, Natalie Imbruglia and Ren Harvieu and co-writing ‘Close Your Eyes’ with the Chemical Brothers for their Grammy-Award-winning album Push The Button, and producing Billy Bragg’s most recent album. His sister, Michele Stodart, has released three critically acclaimed solo albums, with her latest release receiving Album Of The Year & Artist Of The Year at the UK Americana Awards 2024.
The Magic Numbers' outstanding musicianship, close three part harmonies and skilfully crafted songs, make them a truly unique, exciting and unmissable live band. They continue to tour the world building their audiences and explore new ground in the studio together producing albums.
