Boy Kill Boy formed in 2004 and from there things moved pretty quickly. They were the first band ever to play at Wireless Festival, played several dates on the NME New Bands tour, opened the Radio 1 stage at the Reading and Leeds festival, and toured with Hard-Fi. All of that and a couple of singles on Fierce Panda later, the band signed to Vertigo Records (Universal Music).

It was a bit of a rollercoaster, with a top thirty single (Back Again), a top twenty single (Suzie), tours with Echo & The Bunnymen and The Charlatans in the US, another NME New Bands tour (as headliners this time), a session with Jo Whiley for the Radio 1 Live Lounge, another appearance at Reading and Leeds festival and even an appearance on Top of The Pops.

The First album, CIVILIAN, recorded in Sawmills with legendary producer John Cornfield was released in May 2006, reaching number 16 in the UK charts.

Album two was recorded in LA with Dave Sardy (Oasis, LCD Soundsystem, and so many more bands). The band supported the release by touring extensively around the UK, with festival appearances at both V and Camden Crawl, gigged with The Kooks and The Enemy, and performed live on Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 show.

It was a bit of a whirlwind and the band called it a day in 2008. So they returned for 2 intimate shows in 2016 to say goodbye, or so they thought…

But now twenty years after the release of CIVILIAN, Boy Kill Boy will be coming Back (Again) to celebrate the album together once again. The band will play a headline show at Scala in Kings Cross on October 29th 2026.

Quote from the band:

We thought our 10 year anniversary Civilian shows in 2016 were our opportunity to finally say goodbye after we had evaporated into thin air in 2008. We didn’t expect to be getting ready for 20 year anniversary shows in 2026. But what else can you do when everyone keeps asking for one? We have kept in touch with each other and our fans and it not only seems right but it feels like it will be a special night. Legendary producer John Cornfield (Supergrass, Muse, Oasis) who produced Civilian will actually be taking helm of the sound desk for us at The Scala on October 29th 2026, when we will play that album and many more tracks.

We can’t wait to play those songs again to people who appreciate a proper live show. It's good to be back again.
