Wassail in the New Year with CARREG ATEB: a Welsh folk mash-up at The Gate this January. Presented by Stone Club, expect film shorts and talks, dark tales and live music. The event will play host to a new wave of artists forging their own path in all things folk, captivating storytelling from Dominique Fester, mesmeric music from Elspeth Anne, and headlined by the gorgeous and haunting trio, Craven. Kiss the Mari Lwyd one last time at our Pwnco, with Mari Mathias and Catrin Broome, plus end the night with cult classics from Stone Club DJs.
Matthew Shaw will be in conversation with artist John Abell and archaeologist Dr Ffion Reynolds, celebrating the enigmatic relationship between ancient stone monuments and folklore.
