Join us around Ghanaian Independence Day for a celebration of Ghana's greatest musical export - Highlife - in the company of percussion maestro Afla Sackey and his rhythm-driven, dance-inducing band Afrik Bawantu.
Boasting some of the most joyful sounds in musical existence, Highlife is all about unity, togetherness and positivity – a message we all need to hear and feel at the moment.
Join us as we explore the genre from Ghana and its influence beyond its borders with classics from the likes of K Frimpong, Eko Roosevelt and the great Ebo Taylor alongside tailor-made dancefloor originals from Afrik Bawantu themselves.
Uplifting rhythms, rip-roaring brass and high-powered bass lines - this is a high-energy afro-funk spectacular to remember.
