Another fantastic day at 80s let’s rock concert shrewsbury weather didn’t stop everyone having a fab

great show poor parking arrangements
Went to the concert and it was well organized and well run, shame the weather did not play ball, but you pays your money and takes your choice. However what was disappointing was any joined up thinking between the organisers and the council. I had seen somewhere else about using the Meole Brace park and ride scheme run by the council. as I arrived late (around 1PM) I thought there was no way I would get parked in the centre of Shrewsbury on a Saturday afternoon with the shoppers and a large concert. so I opted to park on the Meole Brace park and ride car park( no charge for parking in 2023) got on the park and ride bus (£2 charge in 2023) to be told that there was no public bus service in Shrewsbury after 7PM. so went to the concert and left at 10:30 and tried to book a Taxi, and there was an hours wait. In the end I decided to walk the 2.5 miles back to the car park with some other concert goers which took just over an hour, surly it would make sense to have a couple of buses to take people back to this car park, freeing the town centre parking spaces for the shoppers and visitors so my advice if you wish to use the Meole brace park and ride car park is , check they don't lock the gates at night ( they didn't in 2023) and book a Taxi to take you back to the car park before the concert. I did e-mail the council about this (in July) and as of today (12th September 2023) have had no reply.

Fantastic day
The venue was fantastic, what a great day, even if it did rain! However, trying to get a taxi outside the venue just before the end was impossible for us. We had to walk to the train station and wait for one, after a day of dancing this proved a little tiring on the legs. Lovely setting but wont be going again due to lack of taxis, also heard the taxis were not going anywhere near the venue as they had had enough trying to get in and out of the town.

Another great show
Let's Rock is a great show for all ages. The band's bring back so many memories. It's great to see so many dressed up and having a great time. It's a shame a few drunken idiots spoil it but that can't be helped. Always love the experience.
