A phenomenal stage show, a thunderous set list and a top drawer performance from one of the greatest metal bands in history. Rob Flynn is one of the best front men in metal and the show he brought to Glasgow was one of the best from the 20 odd times I've seen them live. Already looking forward to the next one.

Machine Head are a Californian hard-rock and heavy-metal powerhouse who helped pioneer the new wave of modern metal in the early nineties. Formed in 1991 by vocalist and guitarist Robb Flynn, the band carved out their identity with crushing riffs, aggressive groove and fiercely honest lyricism. Their early albums – including the landmark Burn My Eyes (1994) – set a new standard for intensity, blending thrash roots with a darker, contemporary edge. Known for face-melting guitar work and seismic rhythms, Machine Head quickly became one of the most influential bands of their generation.
Over the decades, the group have undergone numerous line-up changes yet remained creatively relentless, evolving their sound while staying true to the raw power at their core. Albums such as The Blackening (2007) and Unto the Locust (2011) showcased their ambition, mixing technical precision with epic songwriting and emotional depth. On stage, Machine Head are unmatched – delivering explosive, marathon-length shows that highlight their connection with fans and their uncompromising commitment to heavy music. Still pushing forward after more than three decades, they remain a defining force in global metal.
