Legendary Turkish musician Mustafa Özkent will bring his groundbreaking 1973 album Gençlik İle Elele to life in a rare UK-first performance.
Celebrated for its unique fusion of psychedelic funk, Anatolian rock, and jazz, this rare groove album has captivated global audiences for decades, transcending borders and genres.
Özkent’s virtuosic guitar and hypnotic grooves take center stage, bringing the energy and spirit of his seminal work to life.
Backed by his long-supporting 7-piece Belgian band, the event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of one of Turkey’s most influential and visionary artists.
Joining them will be DJ Burak Cetindag, spinning an eclectic vinyl set of 60s, 70s and early 80s Anatolian psychedelic rock, funk and jazz gems, supported by visuals of Turkish music legends, film clips and psychedelic art.
