Inspired by a successful publishing project with Arts Council England, New Generation Publishing was created in 2009 as part of Legend Press, an independent book publisher founded by Tom Chalmers. After founding the business, Tom was shortlisted for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Publishing Entrepreneur of the Year and Enterprising Young Brit Awards.
NGP was then spun off into its own company in 2011 as part of the Legend Times Group with Daniel Cooke joining as a shareholder and Managing Director. With many years working in self-publishing, Daniel brought a huge amount of experience into the business as it continued to quickly grow.
Over the following years, the team expanded further with David Walshaw joining as a Publishing Consultant to look after the increasing number of aspiring authors with unique stories.
