One of the most prolific UK jazz bands, Ruby Rushton, and Tenderlonious led jazz & underground music label, 22a, come together for a night celebrating a decade of the label and showcasing London’s best acts in the scene.
Ruby Rushton are one of the leading and most forward thinking bands to emerge from London’s thriving jazz scene.
Their music is rooted in the spiritual concepts of jazz heroes such as John Coltrane and Yusef Lateef, whilst adopting influences from hip-hop, afrobeat, bebop, jazz-funk and sounds of the UK underground.
22a has established itself as one of the most respected and important independent labels in the UK jazz and underground music scene, with support and praise from some of the leading tastemakers in the world and a back catalogue of music spanning house, hip-hop, jazz, garage, soul, Indian classical and jungle.
