SECRET AFFAIR
'Glory Boys' 45th Anniversary Tour
+ special guests:
PURPLE HEARTS
'Beat That!' 45th Anniversary Tour

Secret Affair will be celebrating the 45th anniversary of their seminal debut LP 'Glory Boys' with a limited run of UK tour dates.

'Glory Boys' was released in November 1979 on the band's own I-Spy Records label (via Arista Records). It peaked at #41 in the UK albums chart. 'Glory Boys' featured two hit singles - 'Time For Action' and 'Let Your Heart Dance'.

Formed by Ian Page and David Cairns from the ashes of Power Pop band New Hearts, Secret Affair built their reputation with sell out shows at the Bridge House in Canning Town, London and with a high profile support slot on The Jam's 1979 tour.

Secret Affair went on to have 5 x Top 40 singles and 3 acclaimed LP's released before splitting in 1982. After reforming in 2002 by popular demand Secret Affair released a brand new album 'Soho Dreams' in 2012 and a limited edition 45 cover of Frank Wilson's 'Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)'.

Mod Legends Purple Hearts celebrate the 45th anniversary of their seminal debut LP 'Beat That!'.

Purple Hearts were formed in 1978 after the demise of The Sockets, their previous band. The band's debut single 'Millions Like Us' hit the UK charts and was swiftly followed by 'Frustration' and 'Jimmy' before they released the 'Beat That!' LP on Fiction Records in 1980.

Along with The Jam, Secret Affair and The Chords, Purple Hearts were one of the most important band's of the 'Mod Revival' which took over the nation's youth in the late 70's and early 80's.

Purple Hearts have recently returned to tour the UK supporting From The Jam to rave reactions and reviews.

An AGMP Concerts presentation.
