It’s Ancient Rome like you’ve never seen it before — filthy, frantic and gloriously ridiculous. When the devious Emperor Caligula hatches a plan to conquer Egypt and marry Cleopatra, chaos erupts across the empire. Cleo isn’t about to give up her crown without a fight, especially with Mark Antony and Julius Caesar both hopelessly in love with her (and themselves). As egos clash and history unravels, the fate of Rome somehow lands in the shaky hands of bumbling waiter Felix Flavius and permanently pickled Dame Chianti Divino.
Expect outrageous plot twists, terrible accents, surprise parentage, chaotic singalongs and a scene-stealing snake with a flair for drama. There’s murder, mayhem and plenty of sauce as the story spirals wildly out of control, led by the least qualified heroes imaginable. This is adult panto with absolutely no apologies — loud, lewd and stuffed with gags. If you like your theatre big, bold and dripping in innuendo, this one-night-only dive into ancient madness is not to be missed.
