stars in the making - fabulous 3 band

Bloodworm were incredible, what a great band, they get better every time I see them. Big shout out to the drummer - who the crowd also seemed to like very much, and that swirling hair of the bass player is enchanting. Nice to chat to the band after the gig as well in the bar, thank you Thanks to the perfect venue, all staff were lovely.

Bloodworm, The Grace, London - 9th May 2026

Bloodworm capture the dark, atmospheric energy of gothic rock while channelling the melodic sensibilities of post-punk’s most influential voices. Fronted by George Curtis’ haunting vocals, their sound pairs brooding basslines with swirling guitars, drawing subtle parallels to the emotional weight of Joy Division, the romantic gloom of The Cure and the shoegaze-leaning textures of Ride. Balancing melancholy with something more ethereal, Bloodworm create immersive songs that feel both nostalgic and sharply current. Tracks such as “Back of a Hand” and “Depths” have helped solidify their place within the modern post-punk landscape, resonating with fans of the genre’s pioneers while offering a distinctly contemporary edge. Their debut EP is set for release in 2025.

On stage, Bloodworm have quickly built a formidable live reputation. Highlights include festival appearances at Dot to Dot, Splendour, Rockaway Beach and Focus Wales, alongside sold-out headline shows in Nottingham (220 capacity), Sheffield and Manchester during their autumn tour. They have also supported nationally for acts including Shame, Pale Blue Eyes, LIFE, The Lounge Society and, most recently, Suede, who personally invited the band to join them on tour.
