Great band playing Highlands & Islands Scottish folk with energy and brilliant musicianship. Guest pipers, and some traditional dancing to boot. Pity that this venue can't book more acts like this!

Top notch musicianship with beautiful Gaelic songs and harmonies, and occasional traditional Scottish step dancing. A wonderful evening, deserved to be a sellout!

Breabach are one of Scotland’s most compelling folk bands, known for their rich blend of traditional Highland and Island music with contemporary flair. Since forming in 2005, they’ve pushed the boundaries of folk with bold instrumentation and heartfelt storytelling. Albums like Bann, Astar and their latest release Fàs (2022) showcase their evolution, with each record offering a fresh perspective on Scotland’s musical heritage. Their creative spirit and musicianship have earned them multiple awards and a loyal international following.
Over the years, Breabach have lit up stages at major UK festivals including the Edinburgh International Festival and Shrewsbury Folk Festival. Their live performances are a powerful mix of intricate melodies, driving rhythms and deep emotional connection. They’ve toured across Europe, North America and Australia, and collaborated with diverse artists such as Le Vent du Nord and Moana & the Tribe – reflecting their passion for cultural exchange through music. Breabach continue to honour tradition while boldly forging their own path.
