Top musicians, historical moments, discovery's, meeting gentle people, making new friends, getting connected! I was at the festivals in the 70ths. The time that we were standing in a row for breakfast together with the musicians. No VIP's at that time! The festival remained it's friendly, respectful character. The so well organised shuttle, the ways accessible for wheelchairs, this is something new. I loved the Banjoy Goddesses with Leila McCalla, Peggy Seeger and Nora Brown. So interesting!!! Finally you learn a little bit about the instrument and the musicians! I was deeply touched by Peggy Seeger. Her humour, her never ending social engagement, the power of this women of 89! Tears when she sung "The first time"... Young, passionate and very professional were Nora Brown and Stephanie Coleman. (What a pity that The music in stage 1 was so loud that it really disturbed the banjo and fiddle sound on stage 2!) And then of course Ralph McTell with his strong warm voice and warm personality. His songs are still social relevant, poetical musical stories . I enjoyed every minute of his concert! Just a man and his guitar! STRONG! Niall McCabe was a discovery. What a beautiful voice!! The Oysterband, for ever young! Sangjaru sounded like Korean punk. Strange sound at a folk festival. Ear protection recommended! Robert Plant and Saving Grace interesting combination. Fantastic Negrito : to loud!! Folk? Flamy Grant with a beautiful voice and songs suggestions: After a concert I prefer to enjoy a little bit longer of what I heard before. Some silence in the tent makes you better prepared to the next concert. A request for silent moments between two groups. Thank you for the beautiful festival!

Friday and Saturday were superb - Tommy Emmanuel, Nitin Sawney, Fantastic Negrito and Robert Plant, Larkin Poe, Darlingside and Turin brakes. Sunday not so good - Peggy Seger can't really perform live any more and The Oyster Band were embarrassingly bad. If you are going to have a "legend" slot please make sure they can still perform.

Camb Folk Fest was wonderful as always, the people and artists making the event a annual pilgrimage of self renewal. Paying monthly from Jan a huge help in budget management.

Just a superb festival,I have been for a number of years and the music is so eclectic there is some thing for everyone’s taste, new artists to discover along with favourites from the world of folk ,Americana jazz etc ,such a great festival. It is great that the once named club tent now is stage three.with artists showcased from Ireland ,Scotland, and last but not least Wales, also a surprise on the Thursday opening night was Jesca Hoop on stage three who had a stunning set.Lots of stand out performances over the whole weekend. The sound was amazing, the whole event was run so well ,so hats off to the organisers and all the staff, and a big shout out to the pleasant security men who along with their usual job of keeping everyone safe they were handing out water in the main arena to the crowds.
