Blistering set from Cat C
Amazing gig at lovely, friendly venue. Spine tingling vocals with Cat treading the fine line between control and deep emotional expression imperiously. A fantastic set, with songs from the new album illustrating that this is an artist in her prime. I hope you visit these shores many times more Cat.

Cat Clyde is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for her soulful blend of folk, blues, and Americana. With a voice that carries both grit and warmth, she crafts songs that feel timeless, drawing inspiration from classic folk artists like Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline, and Lead Belly, while infusing them with her own modern sensibility.
Her debut album, Ivory Castanets (2017), introduced her raw, rootsy sound, featuring standout tracks like "Mama Said" and "The River." She followed this with Hunters Trance (2019), further refining her storytelling and sonic palette. In 2023, she released Down Rounder, showcasing a rich, introspective songwriting style and a stripped-down production that highlights her evocative lyricism.
