St Peter’s, Poole has only this year started putting on live original artists and it’s a great development for a town otherwise without a regular venue for touring bands. I went mainly to see the amazing Elanor Moss, who supported Flyte. I was 50/50 about them but came away a fan. Reasonably priced drinks, lovely staff and unique church venue atmosphere made for a memorable evening.

Totally outstanding, thank you…the only complaint is that they had to stop! They’ve got so many great songs now that not all can be squeezed into a set, and a new album on the way too.

Flyte is an indie-pop band from London known for their lush harmonies and poetic lyricism. Their 2017 debut album, The Loved Ones, earned widespread praise, with songs like "Cathy Come Home" showcasing their knack for melodic storytelling. Their follow-up, This Is Really Going to Hurt, solidified their reputation for introspective songwriting, drawing comparisons to classic British acts like The Beatles and Prefab Sprout.
Flyte has supported renowned artists like Mumford & Sons and Bombay Bicycle Club on tour, earning a dedicated following. The band has also played at notable UK venues and festivals, including All Points East, where their heartfelt, sophisticated pop has consistently won over crowds.
