Always good vibes

I have been going for a few years now, every time is slightly different in terms of music - but always seems to fit the mood! Organisers and performers do a great job, it's a safe space for families, great food and drink 10/10 x

Fantastic and relaxed festival. A good variety of acts - Grace Petrie was amazing!

Enjoyable Festival

Good little festival, with an enjoyable line up and good drink and food options. Only downside was that you couldn't leave the site after you arrived at the festival. They had a strict no readmission policy.

Great little festival!

We had a fantastic day with Beans and co. The setting is lovely, the music top notch, and everyone very friendly - including the artists. Please do it again next year!

Foolhardy Folk Festival 2024, Nottingham Arboretum Bandstand, Nottingham - 25th August 2024

Foolhardy Folk Festival is the independent, artist-led celebration of music, community and trees curated by Beans on Toast and held in the beautiful surroundings of Nottingham Arboretum. Built with care and a fiercely DIY spirit, the festival has grown into one of the Midlands’ most beloved grassroots gatherings, known for its warmth, quality line-ups and thoughtfully curated atmosphere.

Personally programmed by Beans on Toast – who traditionally opens and closes the day with special live sets – Foolhardy brings together a mix of acclaimed songwriters, folk favourites and boundary-pushing independent artists. Past line-ups have featured the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, Frank Turner, Grace Petrie and Jeffrey Lewis, reflecting the festival’s focus on thoughtful, independent music with heart.

Beyond the stage, Foolhardy champions local culture, with top-notch street food, Nottingham-brewed beers and a relaxed, family-friendly environment that feels more like a gathering of friends than a typical festival. Intimate, welcoming and proudly independent, Foolhardy Folk Festival is a true community celebration rooted in creativity and connection.
