Incredible talent and energy from both Funke and the Two Tone Baby and Samantics. Strings is a great venue.

Funke And The Two Tone Baby, Strings Bar & Venue, Isle of Wight - 29th November 2024
I’m new to Funke but after seeing him at the End of the Road festival earlier this autumn I just had to go and see him again. He was again on top form, a very entertaining evening. Everyone was dancing and Funke did not disappoint.

Funke And The Two Tone Baby, Crofters Rights, Bristol - 9th November 2019
Ten out of Ten, I went to both Sheffield and Derby - Dan (Funke) said that Derby was the best gig of the tour, bur from someone in the audience perspective I have to slightly disagree, Hagglers Corner in Sheffield is an awesome little venue and the atmosphere was lovely and friendly. Both gigs saw Funke give 100%. It's good to see an artist that's completely original, that's completely enjoying themselves and with the added bonus that you can dance. Will I go again?- Of course I will :)

Funke and the Two Tone Baby, The Hairy Dog, Derby - 9th March 2019
Behind Funke and the Two Tone Baby is Dan Turnbull, a Kent-born multi-instrumentalist who has spent over a decade building one of the most distinctive one-man shows on the UK circuit. Armed with guitar, harmonica, drum machines, synths and a rack of loopers and effects, he layers everything live to conjure a wall of sound that's hard to believe comes from a single person. The result sits somewhere between alt-blues, dirty electronica and full-throttle dance music: raucous, groove-driven and impossible to stand still to.
Across more than 1,000 shows he has earned a devoted following and a real reputation as a festival force, playing the likes of Boomtown Fair, Kendal Calling, Secret Garden Party and Beautiful Days, where he drew the biggest opening crowd in the event's history. He has also toured in support of Dutty Moonshine Big Band. His studio albums Balance (2015), Denizen (2018) and Reacclimate (2023) trace a restless, ever-evolving sound, but it's on stage where it all truly comes alive.
