Absolutely awesome!
Horsegirl are so cool! This was an awesome set. It was just under an hour and focused largely on their brilliant second album Phonetics On and On. A joy to hear these beautiful songs live. They created an amazing atmosphere and mood. The band hung around afterwards to talk to fans. An incredible experience.

Horsegirl are the Chicago-based trio redefining indie rock with their raw, youthful energy and love for the underground. Made up of Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece, the band weaves together a sound that channels ‘90s noise rock, shoegaze, and post-punk while staying refreshingly modern.
Their debut album, Versions of Modern Performance (2022), released on Matador Records, established them as one of the most exciting new bands on the scene. With hypnotic guitar textures, lo-fi production, and an effortlessly cool approach to melody, they evoke the spirit of Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and Pavement while making something uniquely their own.
Horsegirl’s live performances are an electrifying mix of chaotic energy and intricate musicianship, proving that their DIY ethos and boundless creativity are here to shake up the indie landscape for years to come.
