Judy Collins - Still doing her thing

Great to see her again. At 86 she put on a memorable show with some really interesting anecdotes.

Judy Collins, Union Chapel, London - 1st December 2025

Magical evening

Judy Collins is a stone cold legend and we are so lucky she is still performing! At 86 her voice is still sensational, she plays piano and guitar and hits all the high notes and then some (in heels). Oh and she is hilarious. This was an amazing show full of classics with a few Christmas bangers thrown in and lots of reminiscence and wisecracks. Heres to many more.

Charming journey down memory lane

Given she’s 86 this was a remarkable performance with a voice of an angel still, a wicked sense of humour and a wealth of memories to tie the songs together. A gently enjoyed evening at a wonderful venue.

Judy Collins, Union Chapel, London - 1st December 2025

Judy Collins has been a defining voice in folk music since the 1960s, when her sublime vocals and quiet determination gave shape to a generation’s idealism and its commitment to social justice. Revered for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards alongside her own poignant originals, she turned Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” — from her landmark album Wildflowers (1967) — into a Grammy-winning classic, while her intimate reading of “Send in the Clowns” became one of the most beloved recordings of her career.

More than five decades and dozens of albums later, Collins continues to captivate new generations. In 2022 she released Spellbound, her first album made up entirely of original songs, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album, and she has since published her first poetry collection, Sometimes it’s Heaven: Poems of Love, Loss and Redemption. Warm, fearless and endlessly curious, she remains a singular live performer whose songs still offer beauty, truth and hope.
