Kurt Vile & The Violators , O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London - 6th November 2018

Kurt Vile & The Violators are an American indie rock outfit led by Philadelphia-born singer-songwriter Kurt Vile, known for their laid-back sound blending folk, psychedelia and classic rock influences. After initially gaining attention as a member of The War on Drugs, Vile launched his solo career in the late 2000s, forming The Violators as his backing band. His breakthrough came with Smoke Ring for My Halo (2011), while later releases including Wakin on a Pretty Daze (2013) and b’lieve i’m goin down… (2015) cemented his reputation for hazy, introspective songwriting.

A regular presence on the international touring circuit, Kurt Vile & The Violators have performed extensively across the UK, including appearances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Green Man. They have also toured alongside artists including Dinosaur Jr. and The Black Keys, building a strong following through their relaxed yet captivating live shows. With further releases like Bottle It In (2018) and Watch My Moves (2022), the band continue to refine their sound while remaining a defining voice in modern indie rock.
