Fun band and some serious messages.

Good music. Good lyrics. Good politics. A personable bunch. Nice crowd.

Life, The Big Difference (formerly The Cookie), Leicester - 5th November 2019

LIFE are a Hull-based post-punk band known for their raw energy, sharp lyricism and politically charged songwriting. Formed in the mid-2010s, the band quickly gained attention for their urgent sound and outspoken approach, becoming a key part of the UK’s thriving post-punk scene. Their debut album Popular Music (2017) captured their confrontational style, while follow-up A Picture of Good Health (2019) saw them refine their sound, earning critical praise and a growing audience.

Renowned for their intense and high-impact live shows, LIFE have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, building a reputation as a formidable live act. They have shared stages with artists including IDLES, further cementing their place within the modern guitar scene. With their third album North East Coastal Town (2022), the band continued to evolve, blending more personal themes with their trademark urgency while reinforcing their status as one of the UK’s most compelling post-punk acts.
