lots of hands are Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, two friends who met at 16 on a music course in Newcastle upon Tyne. What began as Woodhouse's solo SoundCloud project soon became a duo, and across the self-released albums mistake (2020), the largely instrumental there's someone in this room just like you (2021) and cult favourite fantasy (2023), they built a devoted following with their homespun blend of indie folk, slowcore and ambient electronics.

Their fourth album, into a pretty room (2025), marked their debut for Fire Talk Records and their first fully collaborative record, pieced together in Woodhouse's bedroom studio and led by the single "game of zeroes". A tender meditation on grief, growing up and letting go, it drew praise from the likes of BBC Radio, Stereogum and Paste, while mistake found a huge new audience online in the months that followed. Live, the pair expand into a fuller band, bringing their whispered ballads and glittering soundscapes warmly to the stage.
