Martin was great.

Venue was so lovely. Martin was great. Great show with break. Very intimate show. Loved it.

Martin McAloon of Prefab Sprout, High Forest Community Centre, Sinderhope, Nr Allendale - 30th November 2024

Memorable performance

Martin was brilliant not only a great musician and singer but so personable, it was great to hear his stories and reason as to why he played songs in a certain way. It’s the first time I’ve been to Metronome - what an amazing space.

Martin McAloon (Prefab Sprout), Metronome Nottingham, Nottingham - 7th November 2024

Brilliant

Really enjoyable engaging funny and great singer and guitarist. If he had a full band he would with Prefabs back catalogue fill much bigger venues. He ought to try a few select gigs with a band. But the evening was excellent well done Mr McAloon.

Different Worthwhile

A thought-provoking tribute to his brother, who can no longer perform due to illness, gave the concert a unique feel. This made up for some of Martin's self-acknowledged singing and guitar-playing limitations. To start singing at 60 is no mean feat. The guitar playing was enjoyable, combining George Benson and Zoot Horn Rolo. Martin quickly established and maintained a good rapport with the audience, and while his brother had other genetic advantages, Martin got the comedy gene.
