Amazing

Venue was amazing like being at a mini festival! Long queues for the one and only bar but forgivable considering how good the whole night was!!

Orbital - Full AV Show, Digbeth Arena, Birmingham - 31st May 2019

Incredible!!!

Brilliant venue. Gig was absolutely amazing, outstanding performance by Orbital, AV show out of this world. The reason I gave this gig 4 stars out of 5 was not because of the gig but for the overpriced beer (£5 a can) and the cashless way of paying for it as this also did not result in less time in waiting to be served.

Orbital - Full AV Show, Digbeth Arena, Birmingham - 31st May 2019

Orbital are brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, who grew up in Dartford, Kent, and went on to become one of the most important names in British electronic music. From the breakthrough of their 1990 single “Chime”, they took the energy of the underground rave scene and showed it could command the biggest crowds. Their headline set at Glastonbury in 1994, trademark head-torches and all, is still remembered as the moment dance music proved it belonged on a festival main stage alongside rock’s biggest acts.

Across a career spanning more than 35 years, Orbital have never settled into a single genre, moving freely through ambient, breakbeat, techno and beyond, with classics such as “Belfast” and “Halcyon” and collaborations ranging from Kraftwerk to Sleaford Mods. Their tenth studio album, Optical Delusion (2023), reached number six on the UK Official Albums Chart and topped the Official Dance Albums Chart, their first UK Top Ten since The Middle of Nowhere (1999). Live, they remain one of electronic music’s great draws, pairing restless invention with a show built to be felt as much as heard.
