Osees, Leeds Irish Centre, Leeds - 20th June 2025
Osees — also known as Thee Oh Sees — are a wildly prolific San Francisco-born rock outfit led by the ever-restless creative force John Dwyer. Famed for their explosive blend of garage-rock, punk, psychedelia and experimental noise, the band have spent more than two decades shaping the sound of the modern underground. Constantly evolving, they’ve released an impressive run of albums reflecting Dwyer’s unpredictable vision, including Protean Threat (2020) and Intercepted Message (2023). Tracks such as “The Dream” and “C” highlight their ability to shift from hypnotic fuzz grooves to frantic punk storms, all delivered with raw, kinetic energy and a mischievous sense of adventure.
On stage, Osees are nothing short of legendary. Their live shows are intense, sweat-soaked and relentlessly high-velocity, often featuring dual drummers, extended freak-outs and a sense of joyful chaos that keeps fans coming back again and again. They’ve torn up festival stages at Levitation and beyond, and have shared bills and touring history with fellow garage-rock icon Ty Segall, cementing their status as one of the most vital forces in contemporary rock. With their fearless creativity and untameable energy, Osees remain a cornerstone of the global psych-garage scene.
