Excellent gig, great bands and lovely venue

Lovely intimate space, really good sound mix and three excellent acts, and all supporting Independent Venue Week. Oslo Twins were great!

Oslo Twins, The Grove, Nottingham - 30th January 2026

Oslo Twins are a London-based dream pop and indie-dance duo whose music blends atmospheric electronics, moody textures and intimate vocal whispers. Emerging from Bristol’s DIY scene, they now centre their creative base in East London, writing and producing in an industrial studio space that bleeds into their sound. Their music moves effortlessly between introspective minimalism and dance-floor pulse, evoking moments of memory, melancholy and movement. Their tracks often feel like snapshots from a half-remembered dream, with soft beats, synth glow and Claudia Vulliamy’s conversational voice at the core.

Their debut EP Back To Nothing (2023) introduced their emotional and melodic identity — the songs Miss Yesterday, Breath and the title track carved a place for them on alt-pop radar. Their more recent single “I Wake Up Slowly” marks a further step into nocturnal electronica, with leaner synths and rhythmic drive. They’ve toured alongside the likes of The Last Dinner Party, Blondshell and The Comet Is Coming, and played festivals including Green Man and Manchester Psych Fest, steadily building their reputation as a live force. Oslo Twins are increasingly becoming a voice for late hours, inner reflections and dance’s soft edges.
