Ozric Tentacles are a legendary British psychedelic rock band, renowned for their fusion of space rock, progressive rock, electronic, and world music influences. Formed in 1983 by multi-instrumentalist Ed Wynne, the band emerged from the UK’s festival scene, captivating audiences with their trippy instrumentals, intricate rhythms, and expansive soundscapes.
Over the decades, Ozric Tentacles have released numerous albums, including the seminal Erpland (1990), the electronic-infused Jurassic Shift (1993), and the more recent Lotus Unfolding (2023). Their music, entirely instrumental, is a mind-bending journey through cosmic soundscapes, blending synth-heavy atmospheres, virtuosic guitar work, and global rhythms. Known for their hypnotic live performances, the band has played Glastonbury Festival multiple times and toured extensively across the UK and beyond.
