This is the second time we've seen Pokey and I think even better than the first time . The bands energy on stage is infectious and the songs are proper singalongs as well. Had a fabulous night and can't wait for his next visit close by.

Pokey LaFarge, Band on the Wall, Manchester - 24th April 2023
One of the best gigs we’ve ever been to. Pokey and his band were flawless and had a wonderful rapport with the crowd. So good we want to go again!! Highly recommended. Different, stylish, classy and wonderful performance. BRAVO!!

Pokey LaFarge, Cambridge Junction, Cambridge - 18th April 2023
Great opening 2 songs, lively, bouncy, strong grooves. The rest was also great, though spoilt for me by poor sound on Pokey’s mic/speaker, plus sound man seemed to take too long to get right level for the woman’s vocals. Minor quibbles, really.

Pokey LaFarge, KOKO, London - 13th March 2018
For two decades, Pokey LaFarge has carved out a singular path as one of America's most distinctive roots musicians. Born in Bloomington, Illinois, and long based in St Louis, he draws on early jazz, ragtime, country blues, Western swing and folk to create a sound that feels both wonderfully old-fashioned and entirely his own. His big break came in the early 2010s, when he toured with Jack White and signed to White's Third Man Records, which released his self-titled album Pokey LaFarge (2013).
From there he went from strength to strength, with Something in the Water (2015) reaching the top 30 of the US country albums chart, followed by the eclectic Rock Bottom Rhapsody (2020) and the genre-hopping Rhumba Country (2024). Beyond the studio, he has appeared on screen in the series "Sun Records" and the film The Devil All the Time. But it's on stage where LaFarge truly comes alive — a sharply dressed, freewheeling showman whose warm, charismatic performances have won him a devoted following across the UK, Europe and beyond.
