Sammy Rae & The Friends, O2 Academy Bristol, Bristol - 18th February 2025
Sammy Rae and the Friends did not disappoint! Absolutely epic performance from the whole band, they are all insanely talented musicians! Such an amazing atmosphere! Support act Last Dinosaurs were also great and had awesome energy! Ritz is always a great venue but it was pretty cold, definitely didn't need the air con on quite so much when it was about - 1°c outside but once we were all dancing it was a bit more comfortable 😊 Overall, an epic night!

Sammy Rae & The Friends, O2 Ritz, Manchester - 16th February 2025
The band had the venue eating out of their hands. Bundles of stage presence, well constructed playlist, great vocals, talented musicians...

Sammy Rae & The Friends, O2 Ritz, Manchester - 16th February 2025
Sammy Rae and the Friends were amazing from start to finish. They balanced the upbeat energy of disco and jazz with more emotional and acoustic performances perfectly. The whole band looked like they were having the time of their lives on stage and that was not wasted on the audience. 10/10 can't recommend them highly enough!

Sammy Rae & The Friends, Barrowland (DNU), Glasgow - 15th February 2025
More than a band, Sammy Rae & The Friends think of themselves as a family first — a collective of dreamers and players fronted by singer-songwriter Sammy Rae. That all-for-one spirit is what powers their live shows, which sit somewhere between a gig and a celebration: full of chemistry, virtuosity and vocal fireworks, and every bit as cathartic for the crowd as for the band.
Their sound is a warm blend of Sammy's influences — classic rock, folk and funk, with soul and jazz threaded through. The group came together after she moved to New York City from Connecticut in her early twenties and, finding no ready-made peer group, simply built one of her own. Since then, the EPs The Good Life (2018) and Let's Throw a Party (2021) and their debut album Something For Everybody (2024) have carried them from sold-out shows across North America, the UK and Europe to festival stages including Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival and North Sea Jazz — all of it, as they'd happily tell you, built on friends telling friends.
