Udo did a great set giving Balls to the Wall full justice and to finish with Fast as a Shark was the icing on the cake. Saxon get better and better each time I see them. Still one of the best rock bands touring. Will definitely see them again

People often say to me Saxon are BACK..they never went away, they always produce stunning stand out sets, and brilliant classic metal. Their new songs and back catalogue are of equal quality. Considering Biffs health problems this year im amazed. Denim and Leather bought us all together..

Formed in Barnsley in 1977, Saxon stand among the founding fathers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, sharing the vanguard with the likes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Def Leppard. Across the 1980s they racked up eight UK Top 40 albums, including four that reached the Top 10 and two that broke into the Top 5, selling more than 13 million records worldwide along the way. Albums such as Wheels of Steel (1980), Strong Arm of the Law (1980) and Denim and Leather(1981) gave fans enduring anthems like "747 (Strangers in the Night)", "Motorcycle Man" and "Princess of the Night".
Saxon's reputation has always been forged on stage, a fact captured on The Eagle Has Landed (1982), a UK Top 5 live album named after the towering mechanical eagle that became the band's mascot and a centrepiece of their spectacular shows. Still led by founding frontman Biff Byford, Saxon remain a genuine tour de force in heavy metal, flying the flag for the British scene with all the swagger, volume and showmanship that made their name.
