Sea Power, formerly known as British Sea Power, are a celebrated UK band renowned for their sweeping, cinematic sound and evocative lyrics. Emerging in the early 2000s with their debut album The Decline of British Sea Power (2003), the band quickly gained critical acclaim for tracks like "Carrion" and their unique blend of indie rock and post-punk influences. Their Mercury Prize-nominated album Do You Like Rock Music? (2008) solidified their reputation, featuring anthemic songs such as "Waving Flags." In 2022, the band adopted their streamlined name, releasing the album Everything Was Forever, which showcases their enduring creativity and emotional depth.
