As Fresh as They Were in the Early ’90s
Proof that great bands don’t age, they’re as vibrant and compelling now as they were in the early ’90s. I have many memories of senser at the rocket in Holloway, Reading Brixton and now Leeds 😊

Senser are a groundbreaking British band known for their explosive fusion of rap, rock, metal and electronic influences — a politically charged sound that helped define the UK alternative scene of the nineties. Formed in London, they burst onto the radar with their genre-defying debut album Stacked Up (1994), which blended fierce riffs, sharp lyricism and layered samples to create something entirely new. Tracks such as “Switch”, “States of Mind” and “Age of Panic” showcased their uncompromising social commentary and high-intensity musicianship, propelling the album into the UK Top 5 and establishing Senser as one of the most vital alternative voices of the era.
On stage, Senser have always been a force: energetic, confrontational and deeply engaging. Their mix of live instrumentation, rap vocals and electronic textures translates into a powerful, immersive show with a message at its core. Subsequent releases, including Asylum (1998), SCHEMAtic (2004) and later albums like How to Do Battle (2009) and To the Capsules (2013), have continued to push the boundaries of their sound while staying true to their fiercely independent spirit.
