Just a Woman with an Acoustic Guitar, but what a night! The Union Chapel as a venue was perfect, intimate with great acoustics, Shawn was completely at ease & regaled the audience with plenty of tales from throughout her career, taking requests & questions from the audience, always responding with humour & an obvious appreciation of the life she's been able to live through her music, The music itself was just sublime, her voice & the tone & melodies that flowed from her guitar, a perfect evening, a complete joy & privilege to have been there. Thank you Shawn

A brilliant artist doing what she does best, in exquisite surroundings. Visuals and sound were stunning, and Shawn's performance was utterly engaging.

There are very few artists, I feel, who can carry off a solo gig when they normally record with a full band. There were times that Shawn Colvin did and times when I felt she didn't. She was very open in her audience interactions but at some points this may have worked against her. At times she semed to be finding it hard to get to notes and her constant tinkering with her guitar tunings made her seem ill at ease (even if she wasn't - how do I know?) I am glad that I finally had the chance to see her live but I'll stick with the recordings now

Shawn Colvin is a master of her craft. A truly outstanding singer/songwriter who delights her audience effortlessly. It would have been even better if her performance had started earlier to accommodate those of us who had trains to catch to get home. Had to leave early which was a real shame as it was clear that Shawn was going to continue for as long as she was allowed by the venue.

Shawn's ability to create rapport with her audience and the continued clarity and beauty of both her voice and writing is still amazing after all this time. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the wonderful venue!
