Performed all of their old classics as well as introducing everyone to their newer material. Great audience interaction. Seen them a couple of times now, always good value for money. Their merch was very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

The gig was perfect from start to finish. Class support act in headfeeder. Space were brilliant, interacting with the crowd and perfect balance of old and new songs.

Space is an English alternative rock band formed in 1993 in Liverpool, known for their quirky style that blends rock, electronic, and pop influences with surreal lyrics. Originally formed by bassist Tommy Scott and guitarist Jamie Murphy, the band's early sound was characterised by experimental production and a unique mix of genres, drawing comparisons to the likes of The Beatles and The Flaming Lips. Their 1996 debut album Spiders was a commercial success, featuring hit singles like "Female of the Species" and "Me and You Versus the World."
The band continued to evolve, releasing several albums, including Tin Planet (1998) and Suburban Rock 'n' Roll (2004), showcasing their ability to combine infectious hooks with thought-provoking lyrics. Despite several line-up changes and periods of inactivity, Space's reputation as one of the most original bands to come out of the UK in the '90s endures. Known for their energetic live shows and eclectic musical approach, they remain an influential act in the alternative scene.
