As usual these guys were absolutely awesome! One of the best live bands I've seen - they never disappoint.

Great from their appearance on stage. Combination of Paul's energy, full sound and intimate venue was a great experience.

Lee Fields and the Expressions were equally as fantastic as St Paul & The Broken Bones and with more TC exposure, both would be getting all the plaudits that they rightly deserve, also great venue steeped in history, more artists should play there!

St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Troxy, London - 5th July 2017
A great show by a great performer reminding me of Otis Redding and James Brown. First time at The Troxy and what a wonderful venue! Lovely unspoilt Art Deco vibe.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones are a dynamic soul collective from Birmingham, Alabama, known for their high-energy live shows, rich horn arrangements and the powerhouse vocals of frontman Paul Janeway. Formed in 2011, the band have carved out a distinctive space where classic soul, psych-funk and gospel influences meet bold modern flair. Their sixth studio album, St. Paul & The Broken Bones (2025), marks a creative reset—recorded at the legendary FAME Studios and produced by Eg White, it blends cinematic rock with heartfelt ballads and groove-driven soul.
Over the past decade, the band have earned a global reputation for their passionate performances and genre-blurring sound. They’ve toured extensively, sharing stages with The Rolling Stones, Lizzo and Black Pumas, and have played renowned festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. They were even personally invited by Sir Elton John to perform at his Oscar party. With a line-up featuring trumpet, trombone, saxophone and keys alongside traditional rock instrumentation, St. Paul & The Broken Bones deliver a live experience that’s as joyful as it is deeply moving.
