Syd Matters, the project of songwriter and composer Jonathan Morali, emerged in 2003 with the debut single End & Start Again, introducing a distinctive blend of timeless songwriting, soulful vocals, and cinematic textures.


Across four acclaimed albums released between 2004 and 2011, Syd Matters created enduring songs such as Obstacles, To All Of You, Black & White Eyes, and I Might Float, earning nearly 200 million streams and building a devoted international following.


Renowned for powerful and emotionally rich live performances, Syd Matters toured extensively throughout Europe, North and South America, culminating in a landmark show at Paris’s Olympia in 2011. Morali later expanded his work into film, television, theatre, and video game scoring, notably composing the celebrated soundtracks for Life Is Strange and Life Is Strange 2, which introduced his music to a new global audience.
