Heartfelt and truly warm experience
It was so lovely to finally see Tamzene live! Her playing was impeccable and listening to her sing was like listening to the studio recording! Actually flawless. Her live band was amazing and suited the stripped back set perfectly. I would recommend her to anyone, she's a superstar!

Tamzene, The Lodge at The Deaf Institute, Manchester - 17th October 2024
Raised in Cromarty on the Black Isle, Tamzene began busking as a teenager on Inverness High Street, writing songs and finding her voice in front of passing crowds. Of mixed Irish and Jamaican heritage, she grew up surrounded by soul greats like Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald, and that warmth runs through everything she writes — a direct, heartfelt kind of pop about love, growing up and finding your way home.
Her sound weaves soul and R&B together with the traditional Highland folk she played as a young musician, giving her songs a gentle, lived-in quality. The EP In Any Weather (2024), released through London label Young Poet, moves between joy and heartbreak across tracks like "What Sundays Are For" and "Best Of Me". She has since shared stages with Tom Jones and Katie Melua, playing venues as grand as the Royal Albert Hall, and brought her soulful live show to UK festivals including Belladrum and TRNSMT.
