The Amazons, Sub 89, Reading - 13th April 2017
The venue was really cool, the crowd were loving it, singing along and basically having the best night, ever! The Amazons were beyond brilliant. I've seen them quite a few times now and each time I say they were fantastic. This time is no different. They just get better and better. I'm loving watch their rise to fame. They deserve to be massive. Their sound is one that you simply cannot love. Every track a bit of an anthem. Roll on next time!

The Amazons, Reading 3sixty, Reading - 14th December 2023
The venue is small but great for intimacy as the Reading boys returned home. In a full evening we were treated to a couple of support acts before the main event. It was great to see the Amazons bring back the support for the main numbers. My highlight was Mother - a great rendition. Same again next year I hope!

The Amazons, Pyramids Centre, Portsmouth - 9th February 2018
The Amazons are a British rock band formed in Reading, England, in 2014. The line-up consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Thomson, lead guitarist Chris Alderton, and bassist Elliot Briggs. Drummer Joe Emmett, a founding member, departed the band in 2022. The band first gained prominence with their self-titled debut album in 2017, which entered the UK Albums Chart at number eight. They followed this success with their sophomore album Future Dust in 2019, and How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? in 2022, both of which charted in the UK top ten.
The Amazons have become known for their energetic live shows, performing at major festivals and venues across the UK and Europe. In 2024, they teased new material with a special performance at Somerset House in London and released the singles "Living a Lie" and "Pitch Black." Their upcoming fourth album, 21st Century Fiction, is set for release in May 2025, with collaborations on production from Catherine Marks, Pete Hutchings, and Royal Blood. Their music blends indie rock, alternative, and classic rock influences, featuring anthemic melodies and introspective lyrics.
