Exceeded my Expectations
Had a free night to fill and googled what's on in Leicester tonight. Result was discovering a new venue (The International) and a brilliant Genesis Trubute Band (The Book of Genesis). These guys are definitely not lookalikes and rely on excellent musicianship to deliver a brilliant show. The synchronised dual drumming sections were also a highlight. Best gig I've seen in ages and fantastic value for money. I will definitely return to The International.

The Book Of Genesis , The International, Leicester - 21st September 2025
Energetic! Fun! It's 70s Genesis!!
This band are a lot of fun, but also very talented musicians. Front man sang well, used some iconic costume pieces and as a final flourish literally leapt behind the second drum kit for some blistering drum duets. Bass / second guitar/ bass pedals / backing vocals was a blur of fingers and added a real punch to the music alongside the brilliant main drummer. Guitar and keyboards, again both on top of their game, fabulous era-accurate tones. It must take a lot of practice to nail this music. Well done gentlemen. The venue is nicely laid out, gig was run with usual efficiency by Danny Mayo, great job.
