Absolutely insane vocals, engaged with the crowd, incredibly set.

We’ve seen a lot of live music, the Dead South were by far the best!!!!!!

The Dead South, Roundhouse, London - 27th October 2023

best new band in a decade or more

Fantastic band that translated so well to the stage and even picked half decent support which is nice for a change! Set list was amazing, full of bangers. Seats at Brixton suuuuck badly though but not enough to stop the fun. Hoping they are back soon to an even bigger audience.

The Dead South, O2 Academy Brixton, London - 27th February 2020

Awesome!

Third time we've seen The Dead South and on this occasion they excelled! The light show is now spectacular and their music is great - Exeter was the last date on their present tour and they looked genuinely blown away by their reception at the venue! Hopefully they'll be back in the near future - as their popularity is growing fast. Standing waiting in the queue for the concert you couldn't help but overhear others comments about viewing the band on You Tube/ online and their decision to get tickets to see them live based on the viewing. Quite a walk to the venue from our hotel in the town centre - so pleased it wasn't raining!

The Dead South, Exeter University Great Hall, Exeter - 29th February 2020

don't buy tickets of this company

band were excellent great energy and atmosphere was electric. Gigantic tickets, however, were appalling contacted them to ask for some help because my wife had fallen and broke her arm was told tough you are not having a refund go or don't go we've got our money. I have used this company on many occasions but it's the last time

The Dead South, Rock City, Nottingham - 28th February 2020

The Dead South are a folk-bluegrass quartet from Regina, Saskatchewan, known for their high-energy acoustic sound and a distinctive blend of dark humour, tight harmonies and driving string arrangements. Formed in (2012), the group brings together Nate Hilts on lead vocals, guitar and mandolin; Scott Pringle on guitar, mandolin and vocals; Colton Crawford on banjo; and Danny Kenyon on cello and vocals. Their music carries the spirit of old-time folk while leaning into a modern, rough-around-the-edges charm that has helped them connect with audiences far beyond their Canadian roots.

Their albums — Good Company (2014), Illusion & Doubt (2016), Sugar & Joy (2019) and Chains and Stakes (2024) — chart an evolution from raw bar-room bluegrass to more expansive and cinematic storytelling, each release grounded in their unmistakable mix of grit and playfulness. With a loyal following built through charismatic live shows and genre-bending arrangements, The Dead South have established themselves as one of the most recognisable and refreshingly unconventional names in contemporary folk and bluegrass.
