The Dunwells, Southside, Lincoln - 5th March 2025

A perfect night out!

Last night was the seventh time I’d seen the Dunwells and the best performance, they were incredible. The two brothers clearly enjoyed the gig and there was a lot of fun and laughter. We were encouraged to join in with the choruses, which we all did with enthusiasm! The songs were great, some poignant, some cheerful, just the right mix. The highlight of the evening was when they unplugged their instruments and went into the audience and sang their final song! A masterful 10/10 performance!!!

The Dunwells, Hot Box, Chelmsford - 31st January 2024

The Dunwells are a Leeds-based indie folk-pop band known for their strong vocals, powerful melodies and heartfelt songwriting. Their debut album Blind Sighted Faith (2012) received widespread acclaim, featuring standout tracks such as “I Could Be a King”, “Follow the Road” — which they performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno — and the title track “Blind Sighted Faith”. Since then, the band have continued to build an impressive catalogue, releasing multiple studio albums, alongside a live album, EPs and a string of well-received singles.

Renowned for their engaging live performances, The Dunwells have toured extensively across the UK, Europe and the US, sharing stages with artists including Mumford & Sons, Elbow, Tom Jones, Scouting for Girls and Bryan Adams. Their later releases, including Light Up the Sky and Something in the Water, further showcase their melodic strength and songwriting depth. Their fourth studio album Tell Me What You Want continues that trajectory, bringing together a collection of new material that highlights their evolving sound and enduring appeal.
