A great Gales night
The Nightingales may have been around forever, but the current version, and the latest album, are as good as they’ve ever been. Go see them!

The Nightingales, The Moth Club, London - 3rd October 2018
The Nightingales, formed in the post-punk era, have remained an enduring force in the UK’s underground music scene. Fronted by the irrepressible Robert Lloyd, the band’s raw, unfiltered sound fuses punk energy with sharp lyrical humour and experimental touches. Albums like Perish the Thought (2018) and Four Against Fate (2020) demonstrate their continued evolution and creativity.
Known for their intense live performances, The Nightingales have toured widely, gracing stages across the UK and Europe. In recent years, they’ve been the focus of a documentary, King Rocker, highlighting their cult status and legacy. Their presence at festivals like Rebellion and the BBC 6 Music Festival continues to draw loyal fans and new audiences alike.
