Al Stewart, TramShed, Cardiff - 28th October 2019
First let me say The Empty Pockets were brilliant.Probably the first time I have enjoyed a support act.Ericas voice is wonderful. Al was superb.A great mix of well known and not so well known songs. And his little asides between songs entertained. The performance of ‘Year of the Cat’ was particularly outstanding.Would have liked to hear ‘ Lord Grenville’ but you can’t have everything. Quite liked the intimacy of the Tramshed too.

Al Stewart, TramShed, Cardiff - 28th October 2019
I had not seen Al since the 70s but the songs were all there and the voice was brilliant . The backing band was also super . My one gripe would be our tickets said doors open 7 pm with no support so I was expecting 2 hours of Al Stewart. In the event doors opened at 7.30 and his backing band was the support act meaning we only got 1 hour of the great man himself . But it was a great hour !

Al Stewart, Salisbury City Hall, Salisbury - 13th October 2019
Al played a mixture of well-known songs + a couple of new ones and a Dylan cover. I hadn't seen him for many years and never with his band, The Empty Pockets, who are great. His rapport with te audience is also v good-lots of stories which make the whole evening a memorable one :)
