First up were Retina. Decent grunge band. Ben the lead guitarist is an excellent musician and holds the performance together. Next are Luna and the Lime Slices. Good indie rock performance. Again a lead guitarist that holds the rhythm. Finally Battlesnake fresh from their triumph at Bearded Theory. Dressed in gold sparkly gowns and head dresses sartorially matched with white sports socks and black trainers. Awesome anthemic songs including Pterodactyl Doom Whore had the large knowledgeable audience entranced. The performance was topped off with the keyboard player scaling the stack in his Y fronts and the whole band carried at shoulder height throughout the venue. One of those rare nights where both the audience and the bands had loads of fun.
