Known for his unmistakably deep baritone and razor-sharp flow, Chali 2na first made his mark as a founding member of legendary hip-hop group Jurassic 5. Fusing golden-era lyricism with infectious charisma, he's become a beloved figure in both underground and mainstream circles. His debut solo album, Fish Outta Water (2009), showcased his lyrical versatility and featured collaborations with Talib Kweli and Beenie Man. Chali 2na is also one half of Ozomatli’s vocal front line, blending hip-hop with Latin, funk and reggae influences.
He’s no stranger to the UK live circuit, having played iconic venues like London’s Jazz Café and festivals including Glastonbury and Boomtown. His high-energy sets have earned him a devoted fanbase, and he’s shared stages with the likes of Blackalicious, The Roots and Cut Chemist. Whether performing solo or with Jurassic 5, Chali 2na’s performances are a joyful celebration of rhythm, storytelling and pure hip-hop artistry.
