Dirty Sound Magnet, Dust, Brighton - 27th September 2024
Great to see a band play with a sense of enjoyment and all three really good musicians. Played like they really enjoyed the sound they were making and wore all their influences on their sleeves - Led Zep anyone? Hope to see them again soon.

Dirty Sound Magnet: Rules of Engagement, The Salutation Inn, Nottingham - 8th November 2023
Dirty Sound Magnet are a Swiss psychedelic rock power trio from Fribourg, formed as teenagers by Stavros Dzodzos (guitar and vocals), Marco Mottolini (bass) and Maxime Cosandey (drums). Their sound reaches back to the golden age of rock — the swagger of Led Zeppelin, the weight of Black Sabbath and the mysticism of The Doors — while folding in the modern psychedelia of Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Add sharp, poetic lyrics about the modern world and you have a band with an identity all of its own.
The trio announced themselves with debut album Western Lies (2017), whose single "Homo Economicus" earned a Best Swiss Rock Song award, before the ambitious Transgenic (2019) and their most successful record to date, DSM-III (2022, Hummus Records). Along the way they've clocked up more than 800 shows across Europe, the UK and Mexico, including sold-out UK tours and support slots with Wolfmother and Monster Magnet, plus festival appearances at Hellfest, Resurrection Fest, Bospop and Burg Herzberg. Expect hypnotic energy, real musicianship and a live show where no two nights are ever the same.
